A few things that you should know:

We are a small team with a small menu. We limit our seatings and guest count each night with the goal of providing our guests and staff with thoughtful hospitality. We have 10 tables in the dining room and when you sit down at the table for the reservation, the seat is yours for the night. That being said, if you arrive late (or early) for your reservation, your service may be compromised. We choose to focus on the guests that are on time and we don’t think that their experience should be tarnished due to your tardiness.

  • There are several charming Inns and Airbnbs in our area:

    The Meadows 1752 : This Airbnb Cottage is located on the Meadows family farm. A 10 minute drive from the restaurant

    The Nathaniel Inn : Right down the street, this Inn is within waking distance of the restaurant and all of the other shops on Main Street

    The Nickel Cottage : Located in Madison Va, this Airbnb is great for larger parties and features a lovely county charm.

    Prospect Hill : Beautiful bed and breakfast in Virginia Wine Country - 20 minute drive from the restaurant and 30 minutes from downtown Charlottesville.

    Mayhurst Inn : “Enjoy the luxury, ambiance and romance of the past when life was slower and more gracious.” Located in Orange, just a 15 minute drive

  • The 3 course menu changes monthly and may slightly evolve over the course of the month. Our bar menu changes whenever Chef feels like it and we also often offer entree specials so check out our Instagram for the most up-to date bar info.

  • While making your reservation, you will be asked to put a card on file incase of cancellation. If you are forced to cancel your reservation within the 24 hour window - then and only then- will your card will be charged. Reservations are transferable in order to avoid this fee. This is not a pre-payment.

    This rule was created out of necessity. As a ten table restaurant in a small town, each guest is very impactful to the income of the restaurant. If we have guests cancel without proper notice, we are often unable to fill those seats and that leads to wasted food and decreased revenue. Thank you for your understanding. 

  • We do our best to be able to serve every guest that would like to dine with us however, we are unable to guarantee accommodation so please look over the menu and let us know about your concerns as soon as possible. We’ll work with you.

    We are often unable to accommodate for people who are both dairy and gluten free, vegan, onion or allium free, and are on specialty diets (keto, etc.) However - our menu changes frequently and we may have different availabilities month to month. 

  • We are unable to charge different cards by item however we are able to separate checks evenly between a maximum of 4 cards. 

    We are occasionally able to host large parties. To book a party of 7 or more guests please email us at hello@presdespres.com or call (540)717-3355. We have a $1,000 deposit requirement for use of the lounge area as a private party - regardless of your party's size. 

    We are also available close the restaurant for special events for a minimum fee of $3,000 (with additional tax and gratuity) contact us at least 2 month in advance to book and/or develop a catered menu. 

  • You will not be able to change tables upon arrival as the dining room layout is engineered each night to provide for a smooth service. You are welcome to request a certain table or area of the restaurant ahead of time by calling us or asking in your reservation.

  • 5.3% for the Commonwealth, 6.24% for the Town of Gordonsville

    The 2% credit card convenience fee is charged to offset the fees charged to us via the processing company. 

  • We love hosting young, adventurous eaters in the dining room! However, we do not recommend our 3 course menu for any picky eaters. The bar has some more 'kid friendly' options and the chef may also be able to prepare different, off-menu bar items when given prior notice and given that the restaurant is not too busy. 

  • Guests usually stick to an business casual attire

  • Yes. Our 3 course menu experience is reservation only.

    Walk in’s are welcome at the bar where we serve a casual French bar food menu.

  • Virtual gift cards are available here

  • We are located on Main Street in Gordonsville so you shouldn’t have trouble finding parking in front of the restaurant. Should you run into issues - there is also a parking lot located at the back of the building, accessible through S Faulconer St.
